You ever get moving along on your quest to be lean only to run up on a bit of a stagnant plateau? Well I have many times. You see just because I’m in the fitness biz doesn’t mean I’m not like anyone else. I’ve got the same trials and tribulations that any other 40 something female encounters when she’s looking to remove un-welcomed fat. So being that I’m a bit obsessed as my friends call me, I’ve set out on a mission to lose those last 10 lbs of frustrating fat once and for all.
Those of you that know me, are assured that lack of activity isn’t my issue. However, I also love food and drink just like everyone else. Being half Italian, how could I not? My first task was to clean up my nutrition. Which is a huge factor in any fat reduction program. How’d I do that? Very simply. I stumbled upon a detailed easy plan that just so happened to include all the nutritional guidelines that I believe in. If you’re interested in checking it out it’s even FREE. Just go to http://tinyurl.com/59kje4 Another issue that may have been inhibiting my progress is the lack structure, focus and mixing it up. Focus is essential to success with anything in life. With me, I haven’t really identified a specific goal to focus on most recently. I just have been going along with my day to day workouts based on the freestyle method which is: doing what I feel like doing on any given day. So my first order of business was to come up with something specific to focus on. Lose 10lbs of fat by Feb 28th. Now, the only thing left for me to plan out on my mission was my workout schedule. I design workout programming for clients every day and they’ve all realized great success, but one of the things that I always try to remember is, "The day you think you know everything is the day you know NOTHING!" With that being said, I thought it would be fun, nice and easy to follow a program that I’ve read about for years. It’s called Turbulence Training, and it’s creator Craig Ballantyne is not only a leader in our field, but he’s one that I admire and respect a great deal. He’s also got a cute Chocolate Lab named Bally. Anyone who’s a Lab lover is okay in my book. So I figured, if it’s worked for countless others, why wouldn’t it work for me.
I began my 12 week Turbulence Training Transformation http://tinyurl.com/5spuuy yesterday 12/6/08 and I’ll be tracking and posting my progress weekly. So wish me luck! I’ll also be Tweeting my workouts and food log on twitter, so if you’re not following me yet please do. http://twitter.com/greenfitcoach
