Ride or blast the Fat away!

Hope you’re coming down off your Turkey overdose.  But if you’re like me, you’re probably still working on those leftovers.  Which to me, almost taste better the second time around.  So if that’s the case and especially if there’s still pie in the fridge.  Get on that bike or walk when you’re running your errands this weekend.   You’ll not only burn off some of that pie, turkey and stuffing, but you’ll save money on gas and you’ll be a little kinder to the environment.  You may already know this, but I was amazed to find out that 40% of all car trips in the United States are under 2 miles.  That’s so doable.  Even for the beginner.  And if you’re worried about getting your stuff home, either use a back pack or get some bike bags or panniers for your bike.  So get to it.  And if it’s not possible to use human power to get your errands done this weekend, don’t use that as an excuse move around anyway.  Add in a quick 5 minute fat blast with some body weight resistance exercises like push-ups, squats and jumping jacks.   So don’t just sit on the couch and watch football.  Throw in a couple of 5 minute rounds of squats, push-ups and jumping jacks at half time and in between games. Your body will thank you and I promise you’ll feel better too!
