Have you figured what these two have in common besides their blond hair? And are you also wondering what this might have to do with health and fitness? Well… Here’s 3 that I can put my finger on.
1.) They’re both somewhat of a phenomenon in our pop-culture. This doesn’t have a whole lot to do with health and fitness other than culture popularity can be symbolic of what’s acceptable and those in the public eye can influence how we feel and behave. So I guess ultimately that can affect our health…No?
2.) They both have a muffin top and a little saddle bag action. Recent attention has been given to the fact that Ga Ga has put on about 25lbs. To which she attributes to dining at her fathers restaurant perhaps a little more than she should. And as far as Honey Boo Boo’s “Chubbs” (think that’s what she calls it?) goes, her little belly is probably a result of a combo. Go Go juice (Red Bull & Mountain Dew) and sketti with butter and ketchup sauce. Doesn’t that sound appetizing???
3.) They both eat more than their share of belly inflating food and drink. Inflammatory foods made of sugar and grains and legumes are not only detrimental to your waistline, but they also have a negative affect on what’s going on inside. Therefore, there’s a underlying cause for unwanted and unhealthy fat storage. And that culprit is called systemic inflammation. This inflammation not only causes weight gain, but can also produce a number of degenerative diseases down the road like: obesity, diabetes, heart disease, cancer and many others.
So, I’m thinking the only thing above that I’d like to maybe posses is the pop culture notoriety, but then again…Maybe not. I love peace and quiet.
What are your thoughts? Can you think of anything else they have in common? If so, please share it in the comment section below.
