Goals.
You hear about them all the time. And if you’re really into self help you’re probably familiar with SMART goals. The fact of the matter is, if you don’t have them, I’d be willing to bet that you’re probably just going along in life with a mediocre or unacceptable career and mediocre or unacceptable health and fitness. I can vouch for it personally too. Even though I’m a fitness freak. I need to set goals and have something to work towards otherwise I just kind of float along doing my thing and nothing really changes much. In fact that’s what sparked this latest rant of mine. Today I decided my workouts needed some “hoots-pa”. I needed a purpose. Something to work towards. That’s why I took on the 20 pull-up challenge. Didn’t Einstein say “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting something different?
Bottom line Peeps is we all need goals if we expect to make positive changes in our lives. Take a long hard look at things. Are you satisfied with your health, fitness, career or life in general? If not figure out what you want and go for it. And while you’re at it set those SMART goals that I talked about earlier. Specific, Measureable, Attainable, Realistic Time bound goals. And don’t just have them floating around in your head. Write em down.
“Commiting your goals to paper increases the likelihood of your achieving them by one thousand percent!”
– Brian Tracy
