Who doesn’t love a massage and who can’t get enough of them? Think there are a bunch of us that fall into that category. And guess what, there’s also an bonus benefit to massage other than feeling awesome and it’s FAT LOSS.
Yep that’s right, massage therapy might be one of the missing pieces to your weight loss puzzle. Here’s why. Working out, especially strength training is an essential ingredient to your fat loss formula. However, muscles need to heal and rebuild after a workout before they can get stronger. Massage therapy helps the healing process by reducing excess toxins, increasing circulation, relieving stiffness and improving mobility.
Experts suggest a good massage every other week or monthly as a general rule of thumb for maintenance and injury prevention.
All that’s well and good if you’ve got endless resources. If you don’t have that luxury, but you’re looking for a little more economic solution, a massage chair is a relatively inexpensive option. In fact, I side-tracked myself pretty good trying a massage chair pad out the other day while doing my weekly Costco run.
I’m seriously considering this purchase even though a chair cushion may be a bit limited, but hey since it's removable I guess you could rig it and use it on your lower body too?
