Do you think eating FAT makes you FAT? Do you believe all calories are created equal? I used to think they were. Pretty much all of my formal nutrition, health and fitness education hit that point home over and over again. I was taught that in order to lose a pound of FAT you have to create a 3,500 calorie deficit and if you ate more calories than you burned you'd gain weight. Now however, my tune has changed quite a bit. I not only believe that calories are NOT created equal, but I also believe that there’s one evil doer ingredient that’s contributing to the obesity epidemic and it’s not FAT. It’s SUGAR!
Since the introduction of High Fructose Corn Syrup in 1975 and the evolution of the low fat diet, we’ve gotten FATTER not skinnier and there’s a reason for that. Our consumption of sugar has skyrocketed from an average of 16-24 grams per day prior to World War II to 37 grams per day per person between 1977-1988 to 54 grams per person per day in 1994 then to finally today where we're consuming about 22 teaspoons or 110 grams of sugar per person per day. And with more than 60 percent of US adults being overweight and more than 30 percent being obese. That tells me we’ve got some big problems Houston.
Our body’s process this man-made sugar very differently than the sugars found in whole natural foods too. If you’ve got time, check out Sean Croxtons’ Youtube video “Sugar:The Bitter Truth” which is a short version of Dr. Robert Lustig MD’s 90 minute long Youtube video “Sugar:The Bitter Truth” (which is excellent too if you’ve got time to listen to it.) These videos dig deep into the science of why SUGAR is the axis of EVIL in our obesity epidemic.
Try not to feel doomed by this news. There is something you can do about it today that will slowly but surely curb your addiction to processed overly sweetened foods. Starting now, yes now, not tomorrow or next week. Go through your fridge and pantry and purge all the processed crap that contains High Fructose Corn Syrup, Corn Syrup and sugar and begin eating whole natural foods like the ones that are outlined in "The Cellulite Circuits" 12 week program. You know the ones that usually don’t have a label. I challenge you to do this for a couple of weeks and then pay attention to how you feel. I bet you’ll feel better than you ever have before. And you’ll more than likely get to experience another wonderful side effect. You’ll lose weight. I dare you to try it and tell us about your results in comments section below.
A piece of eritodiun unlike any other!
