Nothing’s Happening!

We’re moving and feeling better, however we still can’t button our pants! So what’s up with that? How about nutrition? The truth of the matter is, we can work out 24 hrs a day and still not drop a pound of fat if we don’t include good nutritional habits into the mix. However, the choices are more confusing than ever! Good fats, bad fats, trans-fats, non-fat, low-carb, sugar-free, gluten-free and the list go on and on and on.

Americans have more of a selection regarding what to put in our mouths than ever before. Focus groups are developed by the large food companies to figure out ways to get us to consume more and more each year. It’s no wonder we’re having a hard time.

We’re flooded with information and left on our own to decide what to do? The only way we could make the best choice regarding what we put in our mouths is if we were educated in all of the following fields, basic nutrition, food processing, food marketing, food manufacturing, and the toughest and most confusing of all, government regulation of food. Is that realistic?
